What happens when you
Both the king and the general were making their way through the forest, no one knew what was going on in the mind of destiny. It should be kept in mind that the game of destiny is very strange, but it is related to everyone, every aspect of it is related to us. Anyway,
After covering a short distance, they once again reached the open forest. The darkness was deepening, their two horses were trampling the darkness. Any domestic animal is loyal to its owner. On one side of that open field, they saw smoke coming out, and both of them were surprised.
King: "General, do you see smoke?" What kind of smoke is it?
Commander: "Yes, Your Majesty, let's see."
The king and the commander went towards that smoke. As they went forward, they saw a hut. There was nothing to see around that hut. They were again amazed. Both of them got down from their horses, and stopped at some distance from that hut. Both of them were guessing, what could be in that hut?. Both of them had their hands on their swords, that was their strength.
Commander: "Your Majesty, you stay here, I will see who is in the hut?"
The commander went in front of the hut and knocked loudly.
Commander: "Who is inside?"
With that, an old man came out. He must have been around a century old. When he came out, the old man folded his hands and asked, "Who are you?"
Commander: "I am the commander and this is our Maharaj. While wandering for hunting, we lost our way in this forest. We cannot find our way. As it is late at night, can we stay in this hut? We will leave in the morning."
Old man: "Of course Maharaj, you can stay here for the night."
The old man folded his hands again and bowed and hurriedly went to the hut.
The king and the general felt relieved, their problem of staying for the night was solved. They both tied their horses to a nearby tree. There was not much space in the hut, so they both sat on the grass outside the hut. Later they realized that there was someone else in the hut. After guessing, they realized that it was the old woman inside, they could hear the old man and the old woman talking.
When the old man went to the hut, he told the old woman all the news.
Old woman: "Who told you to wait for them? I have only made two loaves of bread, what will I give them? It's nothing, I will eat my bread, if you want to give them your bread, give it to them, I will not give the crumbs from my bread."
The old man was trying to explain but the old woman was not listening to him.
The king and the general could hear all this, so the king and the general felt very bad. Both of them understood that the old woman was evil-natured. They only wanted to spend one night. But after listening to the conversation between the old man and the old woman, both of them felt very bad.
The king looked at the general, but there was no cure, both of them were hungry, but after listening to the old woman's words, their hunger was disappearing. They had become like 'Don't beg, but restrain the dog'. They were very angry with the old woman. But no one is immune to the wheel of destiny. Whether it is a king or a commoner, destiny tests everyone equally.
Both of them were distracted by hunger. They fed the horses, and they sat down in the courtyard in front of the hut. They were surprised from time to time, how the old man and the old woman live in such a forest.
After a while, the old man came with half a loaf of bread and chutney in his hand. He held the bread and chutney in front of the king, and started requesting the king to take it. But the king did not have the courage to take it, but the old man started insisting a lot, so the king accepted the bread with a sense of respect.
The king gave half of the half loaf of bread given to the general. Both of them ate half a loaf of bread and drank water, in one word, they respected the old man. But fate was testing the old man's character many times over. And the old man was passing it.
The darkness had deepened into darkness. The nocturnal life of insects had begun. The chirping of insects pierced the terrible darkness, and man was falling asleep. The old man and the old woman fell asleep in the hut. Outside, the king and the general lay down on the grass.
After midnight, a tiger attacked the hut and killed the old man and the old woman. At the sound of the neighing of the horses and the roar of the tiger, the king and the general drew their swords and jumped on the tiger, but the tiger fled into the forest.
The king and the general were very sad, by then the night had ended and the day had begun to dawn. With a sad heart, they burned the old man and the old woman and performed their funeral rites. After completing the funeral rites, the king and the general left there, riding horses, both of them came out of the forest, now they could see a lot of roads. In a short time, they reached the forest they knew. Now both of them were very tired, they reached the gate of their kingdom through the forest.
There were some houses at the gate, all of them were poor settlements, and some people had gathered there. The king asked the general to go there to inquire. Accordingly, the general went and inquired, when he came to know that a woman had given birth there and had a daughter.
In a short time, the king and the general reached the palace, they saw a lot of hurry and rush at the palace. The maid gave the good news to the king, the queen had received a son. The king was very happy that a prince was born. There was joy everywhere. The king called for a celebration of the birth.
After some time, the king and the general were talking about the night's incident. The king felt sorry for the old couple, but the general was lost in thought. He remembered the question the king had asked.
General: "Maharaj, the question you asked me earlier."
King: "Yes, what about that?"
General: "Sin and virtue, we got the answer to that last night, Maharaj."
If we look at the time of both the morning's incidents, it seems that good deeds yield good results.
